Nick Wates Associates specializes in public engagement in planning and urban design. We undertake consultancy on a wide range of regeneration and planning issues as well as conducting research and producing good practice materials.

- Productions of books, reports, newsletters, feasibility studies and websites – complete service including research, writing, design and production.
- Training workshops and seminars.
The main focus from 2020 is consolidating past work and making use of our extensive project archives. As a result, some of the services listed above may no longer be available, but please enquire.
Clients include public, private and voluntary sector organisations, both in the UK and overseas.
Nick Wates, who has had over 40 years experience in the field, leads all projects, working closely with associates with specialist expertise in graphic design, information technology and a range of environmental and management disciplines.
The practice collaborates with other professional organisations to provide the required capacity for specific projects.
